Title: Photography Operations Manager
Share in our passion! We are currently looking for a full-time Photography Operations Manager to join the MWS team. This is an exciting role that will require resiliency and flexibility. This role will report directly to our Managing Director. Our compensation package includes a base salary, plus a bonus program that includes annual performance goals and incentives.
Responsibilities:

Provide leadership for all aspects of photography operations to ensure high-quality photography on photo days: Schoolday, Graduation, Family, Convocation, Studio and Special Events.

Provide leadership to photographers to ensure successful execution of all photography programs, including maintaining a high level of photographic quality, scheduling, equipment management, productivity, operations procedures, account retention, and territory budgeting.

Hire and train seasonal photographers, supervise and coach staff, employee retention, perform performance reviews, execute and monitor established goal objectives, payroll reporting, policy interpretation and implementation, and day-to-day performance management.

Work closely with the Director of Client Partnerships and the team of Territory Managers to ensure that they are aligned in company processes and procedures with effective use of resources, identifying opportunities to strengthen performance, and executing improvement initiatives.

Be responsible for the best utilization of company resources and maximization of productivity for high-quality, positive photo day experiences, including the utilization of employee-evaluation metrics for performance feedback, development, and improvement.

Provide direction, assistance and feedback to Territory Managers from the booking process through to the CRM, data management, and production tasks.

Be accountable for metrics related to operations and photography.

Collaborate with the Territory Managers, Sales Support staff and Lab Operations team to ensure working relationships are positive and productive.

Demonstrate care and concern for workplace safety and health by promoting and modelling all safety rules and guidelines.

Ensure compliance with all company policies within the region.

Equipment coordination, inventory and management.

May require travel to various territory offices.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of related education and experience.
-
5+ years of experience working in an operations management role.
-
Experience with managing a remote photography team.
-
Proven experience in working in and managing a seasonal business and hiring seasonal staff.
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Experience setting and executing strategic plans.
-
Proven ability to hire the best talent and coach direct reports to do the same.
-
Can effectively set priorities for themselves and others in a fast-paced environment.
-
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
-
Strong computer skills including Google workspace and MS Office.
-
Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage a budget plan.
-
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
-
A technical inclination and the ability to learn photography skills required. Previous experience with volume photography is considered an asset but not required.

Reliable transportation for work purposes and the ability to travel to schools in both urban and remote locations in all weather conditions and seasons is required.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be comfortable and confident engaging with school administrators when necessary.

This position involves working with children in a school setting, therefore, the successful applicant must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Title: School Portrait Photographer
Do you enjoy working with kids? Looking for a fun, flexible job? In this position, you'll get to meet new people every day in different school environments. This position reports to the Photography Operations Manager.
Requirements:

Must be a motivated individual who is enthusiastic about photography and customer service oriented.

Photography experience is not required but is preferred.

Customer-focused with strong organizational skills.

Ability to deal with multiple and changing priorities.

Will travel to various schools in designated areas.

A valid driver’s license and car insurance are required.

A reliable car is essential to carry equipment.

Experience working with children is an asset.

As this position involves working with children in a school setting, the successful applicant must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

A warm and friendly personality that can work with children from preschool to graduates as well as administrators and teaching staff.
