How To Prepare For Photo Day

Prepping for photo day is easy when you keep it simple. Bright, solid colours look great and, in order to look your best, avoid wearing a hat on photo day (at least just for your photo!)

Neat and simple.

Avoid white or light-coloured clothing. Solid, medium and dark colours look best on camera. Busy patterns, stripes, or logos will look distracting.

Glasses + Glare

Glasses are cool.

Glare is not.

Wearing glasses may result in glass glare and/or shadows on the face, and are difficult to retouch. Please consider removing glasses for at least one photo.

Avoid a bad hair day.

Please don't wear a hat on photo day. Hats create shadows as well as "hathead" that does not make for a good picture.

What are some tips for great photos?

Long sleeves are recommended, and solid bright colours photograph best. Avoid wearing stripes or busy patterns. Faces should be clean and hair should be neat. Cleanse your face to remove shine. Shave before your session as the camera can pick up even light stubble. Wearing glasses may result in glare and/or shadows on the face, and are more difficult to retouch. Please consider removing glasses for at least one photo.

Can I wear my hat for my picture?

We follow your school's policy on hats. We do recommend that you don't wear a hat for your first picture, as hats create a dark shadow over the eyes and it's an administration-required photo for reference and yearbook purposes. You're welcome to wear it for your second or third pose. (Students and parents should be aware that wearing hats before having their picture taken may result in messy hair or "hathead".)

I'm not 100% satisfied with my photos. Can I get retakes?

Parents will be informed by the school if a confirmed retake date is scheduled.

How can I order for more than one child in the same order?

Once you have finished ordering for the first child, go to the Cart, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter a new login code for the next child in the "enter a new login code" field.

Do you have a family plan?

Yes. For families with three or more children ordering online, you will receive a 25% discount that will automatically be applied to your order.

Are the finished enlargements exactly like the previews?

Finished enlargements and other printed products will be cropped slightly (excess background removed), and corrected for density and colour. Online preview images are low-resolution and displayed for pose and expression only. Your finished prints will be sharp and vibrant.

Is there a deadline to order?

Please order as soon as you receive your login information in order to receive your package before the holiday rush.

I only had my ID photo today. May I order packages later?

Yes. Go to to order online. Orders will be shipped directly to the home.
